  2. I'm going to start doing art. I have a problem with executing my plans. I have a shitty tablet, but I plan on buying an Intuos 4 when I get paid next cycle.

Now, with that said, I love your damn style and colors. How much experience do you have, and did you learn most of your stuff in your college courses...?

I wish you good luck with your artsing endavours, but I don't think that you should start with buying an expensive tablet. First comes learning to draw on paper. I still don't have an Intuos, just some lesser brand. My first tablet was so shitty that you couldn't draw a straight line with it.

I started drawing when I was 15, and kept at it for 7 years. 95% of what I know, I learned through tutourials, books, observing other artists, and practice. I wen't for an art major in college, but I dropped out. It focused more on traditional techniques and "GREAT ART". A digital porn artist didn't really fit in there.

If you found a course that focused on digital painting, or character art, you might learn something good. But your actuall skill depends mostly, on how much work you put in outside of school.

  4. Hmm. I started drawing when I was 10, and did it off and on for a few years. I'd rather not spend money on paper and materials though, so that's why I turned to a digital medium. I want an Intuos4 because I have a Genius right now and it literally won't draw a straight line.

I can put a ruler on it and follow the line with the pen and the result is squiggly and it's too annoying to use. So that's why I'm willing to buy the Intuos. I can get one from staples for 20% off or a refurbished one on Amazon for like 130.
